Why Disclosures Matter
BrandPage pages are designed to make links, offers, products, videos, newsletters, and brand deals feel premium and easy to trust. That only works when visitors can tell when a recommendation, placement, review, or product link has a business relationship behind it.
This page is product guidance, not legal advice. Creators, brands, agencies, and merchants remain responsible for following advertising, consumer protection, platform, payment, email, and privacy rules that apply to them.
Material Connections
If a creator has a financial, employment, personal, family, ownership, affiliate, ambassador, gifted product, discount, commission, or paid partnership relationship with a brand, that relationship may need to be disclosed when the creator recommends, reviews, links to, or promotes the product.
Do not assume visitors already know the relationship. Disclosures should be clear, easy to understand, and placed where people will see them before or when they act.
Placement
- Put disclosures close to the relevant link, video, product, testimonial, claim, or call to action.
- Do not bury disclosures only in a footer, terms page, profile bio, hover state, or collapsed section.
- Use direct language such as Sponsored, Affiliate, Paid partnership, Gifted, Brand owned, or Commission eligible.
- For video, livestream, and story-style content, include disclosures in the content itself when needed, not only in a page description.
BrandPage Labels
BrandPage supports disclosure labels such as Sponsored, Affiliate, and Owned on links and products. Those labels are meant to make compliant behavior easier, but creators should choose the label that accurately describes the relationship.
If a campaign needs a more specific disclosure, use the page text, link title, product description, or email copy to make the relationship clearer.
Claims, Results, and Reviews
- Do not make product, income, health, performance, safety, environmental, or financial claims unless they are truthful and substantiated.
- Do not present paid reviews, gifted-product reviews, affiliate placements, or owned products as independent editorial recommendations.
- Do not hide important limitations, eligibility rules, prices, renewals, shipping restrictions, return terms, or risk warnings.
- If typical results differ from the featured result or testimonial, add context visitors need before relying on it.
High-Risk Categories
Some categories require extra review before launch, including regulated products, weapons, supplements, medical claims, financial products, sweepstakes, age-restricted products, travel, fundraising, gambling, adult content, and products that payment processors or ad platforms restrict.
BrandPage may remove or limit pages, links, forms, products, or checkout routing that appear deceptive, unsafe, unlawful, or likely to create platform risk.
Creator Checklist
- Every sponsored, affiliate, gifted, owned, or paid placement is labeled near the action.
- Every product claim, price, offer, result, and deadline is accurate and current.
- Email capture has clear consent and unsubscribe handling.
- Payment, shipping, returns, taxes, and customer service are handled by the creator or merchant.
- Regulated or high-risk campaigns have been reviewed before publication.
