Put the scan promise first

A QR code landing page is the web page someone reaches after scanning. If your packaging says “Watch the setup video,” make that the first link. Add the care guide or support contact underneath so the next step stays easy to find.

Update the page after printing

Edit your BrandPage’s links, text, and media as your campaign changes. Your printed QR code can keep opening that page while its public URL stays the same. Keep the page published and keep any short link it uses active. Changing or deleting the URL can break printed materials.

Measure the route and the next action

Create separate short links for an event sign and a package insert to compare their click counts. Then review page views, destination clicks, and subscriber captures in Analytics. A short-link click is not a unique scan or a completed sale; confirm purchases and bookings in the service that receives them.

From a draft to a printed QR code

Build the destination first. Then connect the code and test the whole journey.

  1. Build your landing page

Create a free private draft, add your name and brand styling, and put the promised action first. Link to your existing video, product, booking, or contact destination. Add email capture if subscribers are your campaign’s goal.

  2. Publish and check the public URL

Choose a paid plan when the page is ready. Publishing starts at $9/month, with a 7-day trial that requires a card. Open your public BrandPage URL while signed out and check every destination before sharing it.

  3. Create your short link and download the QR

Open Growth in your dashboard. Under Create short link, paste the public URL into Destination, add a Name, and optionally choose an available Custom ending. Select Create, then Download QR code to save the SVG file.

  4. Test the printed version

Print a sample at its intended size. Scan it with more than one phone in the lighting and at the distance people will use. Check the page and its main action, then place a clear reason to scan and a readable URL beside the code.

Three QR landing page examples

Illustrative campaign ideas you can adapt to your own page. Each starts with a specific reason to scan.

Product packaging

“Scan for setup & care.”

Lead with a setup video, then link to care instructions and your support page. Keep the instructions current at the same published page URL.

Event booth or sign

“Scan to see today’s demo.”

Feature the demo first, then offer a brochure link or an email signup for follow-up material. Name the short link for the event so its clicks are easy to find.

Business card

“Scan to see my work.”

Introduce your business, feature your work, and link to your existing inquiry or scheduling page. Keep the contact route visible without making visitors search through every channel.

QR code landing page questions

How do I make a landing page for a QR code?

Build and publish a BrandPage, then create a short link to its public URL in Growth. Each short link has a downloadable SVG QR code. Test the downloaded code and the destination before printing or distributing it.

Can I change the landing page after the QR code is printed?

Yes. You can edit content on the same published BrandPage without reprinting a code that opens it. Keep the page URL and any short link unchanged and active. BrandPage’s short-link controls currently let you create, copy, download, and delete links; they do not let you replace an existing short link’s destination.

What is the difference between a static and a dynamic QR code?

A static QR code stores a fixed URL. A dynamic QR service adds a redirect whose final destination can be changed. BrandPage downloads encode a short-link URL, but editing that short link’s destination is not currently available. You can still change the content on the BrandPage it opens while keeping that page’s URL the same.

Is the QR code landing page free?

You can build a private BrandPage draft free without a card. A public BrandPage requires a paid plan, starting at $9/month. Paid plans begin with a 7-day trial that requires a card and converts to paid billing unless canceled. Publish before putting the page behind a printed QR code; a private draft is not a public destination.

Does BrandPage track QR code scans?

BrandPage counts visits through its short links. Use a separate short link for each QR placement to compare those routes. Counts can include repeat visits and clicks on the same link elsewhere, so they are not a count of unique people scanning. Review destination clicks and subscriber captures separately from visits.

Can I use a QR code I already have?

It depends on the URL encoded in it. If it already opens your published BrandPage, you can update that page’s content. If another provider lets you edit its redirect, point it to your public BrandPage URL. A code containing a different fixed URL needs to be regenerated unless you control a redirect at that URL.
